Café vouchers and passes: big-brand tools for your local café
Get cash early
Guests prepay for future visits, so the money comes in before the coffees go out.
How payouts work
Bring regulars back
A guest with a balance at your café has a reason to choose you again, not the place next door.
See the guest app
Reach their friends
Guests send a friend a voucher for your café. The friend gets a reason for a first visit.
How gifts work
Keep them coming back
Their usual is paid for the whole term, so they return to use it instead of trying a new place.

How it works
1Set a bonus
For example +10% on every voucher.
2The guest pays ahead
They pay €50 and get €55 to spend at your café.
3You get the money now
They come back to spend it over the next visits.
A win-win for you and your guest
1Offer their usual
For example one Americano a day for 30 days.
2Paid once, at your counter or online
Guests like knowing their coffee is covered.
3They keep coming back
Each visit is a chance to sell a pastry.
A win-win for you and your guest

A potential VAT timing benefit
For qualifying multi-purpose vouchers in Germany, VAT applies when goods or services are supplied on redemption. Single-purpose vouchers are generally taxed on transfer instead.
This may affect timing, rather than reduce the tax itself. Ask your tax adviser to confirm your voucher’s classification and accounting treatment. German VAT rules: § 3 (14–15) UStG

Before we talk coffee
A voucher holds a balance for your café. Guests buy it online and use it across visits. A pass covers a specific item under rules you set, for a fixed period. Guests pay for it at your counter or online.
No. Every guest gets a personal code and can use JustBack in the browser. Adding it to the home screen is optional.
It brings payment forward. You still need to fulfil future orders and cover their costs.
Additional profit depends on behaviour. Look for extra visits or purchases beyond what guests would have bought anyway.
Measure the full offer. Account for processing fees, bonuses, ingredients and labour. Advance payment alone does not prove a profit increase.
A bonus adds value you must serve. A €25 voucher with a €2 bonus gives the guest €27 to spend while they pay €25.
A pass needs a usage assumption. Compare its price with the cost of the included servings guests are likely to redeem.
Include fees and your margin. Start with your own costs and check actual usage before extending an offer.
Your team can scan the guest’s QR with a phone or tablet. JustBack does not require an additional payment terminal.
Yes. Your team enters the amount to redeem, and the remaining voucher balance stays available for a future visit to your café.
The pass stops being redeemable when its term ends. There is no automatic renewal. Guests can pay to extend it at your café. Extending before expiry preserves the remaining time; renewing after expiry starts a new term.
You choose the included item, the duration and the minimum time between redemptions. Guests should see the conditions of your offer before buying.
